Child Passenger Safety Week

Did you know that car crashes are the leading cause of death for children? According to a U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) study, in 2020, an estimated 101,656 children were injured, and 604 were fatally injured in a car accident. When car seats or booster seats are used correctly, you drastically decrease the risk of a fatal injury. Each year, NHTSA takes a week out of September to bring attention to these daunting statistics and bring awareness to child passenger safety by spreading key facts and figures to promote how having #TheRightSeat can significantly impact your child’s well-being.

Here at Tobias & Comer Law, we know that every parent is doing their best to protect and provide the most extraordinary life possible for their child. They drive their child to and from soccer practice, the school musical, and other extra-circular activities. Each time the car is started, a child should be appropriately protected by either being in a car seat or a booster seat. That is why Tobias & Comer Law partnered with USA Health Hospital to host a car seat safety check on Friday, September 23, 2022! Certified car seat technicians will conduct this free safety check to ensure you have #TheRightSeat installed for your child. Come out and join us on September 23, 2022, from Noon to 3 p.m. at 1601 Center Street, Mobile, AL 36604, for our Car Seat Safety Check!
